Detail for Sand Filters

PGA LOCALLY FABRICATED RAPID (PRESSURIZED) SAND FILTERS

Step 1: General Usage
Used for the first-stage removal and filtering of water sourced from canals, dams, rivers, and lakes. Efficiently traps fine particles such as organic matter, algae, and microorganisms. This process prevents clogging of upstream systems and ensures steady, clean water flow.

Step 2: Fabrication Material & Technical Specification
Each filter is carefully engineered and fabricated using premium materials for strength and reliability.

Step 3: Filter Tank Body
Constructed from durable steel sheet metal with varying thickness depending on size and pressure. Protected with anti-rust and chemical-resistant coatings. External coating: One coat of anti-rust primer followed by one coat of emulsion paint. Internal coating: One coat of epoxy primer and one coat of epoxy resin paint. Includes inlet/outlet pipes, inspection manholes for media loading, air vent, drain outlet, and pressure gauge.

Step 4: Filter Nozzle Header
Fabricated from GSI pipe and couplings with precision-welded nozzles for efficient water flow distribution.

Step 5: Filter Media
Filled with graded and packed quartzite sand sourced from rivers. The media ensures effective filtration and consistent water clarity.

Step 6: Five/Six Valves Control Group
Built with GSI pipe (B-Class) and threaded fittings. Equipped with Ball, Butterfly, and Gate valves for manual operation. Designed for ease of maintenance, inspection, and part replacement.
